So, I add this to my personal Monday Blues!
Keep up the good work, it is good to get an "on-the-ground" slant on things.BabaMzunguhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02423217043240843105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-88437008206229813112008-01-22T12:00:00.000+03:002008-01-22T12:00:00.000+03:00Whichever way round I look at the list all points ...Whichever way round I look at the list all points depress me. We seem to be going round in ever decreasing circles - and I dread to think what lies at the mid-point. Normally I can predict the happy ending but this story has me frustrated, saddened and increasingly pessimistic which really goes against the grain. I think I am now having a blue tuesday... shame we are not that well coined harmonious 'rainbow nation', we might have thought we were, and could have been. Still could be, if only....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-82218492649382038802008-01-22T09:53:00.000+03:002008-01-22T09:53:00.000+03:00I agree with zed - swop the order around! Anyway, ...I agree with zed - swop the order around! Anyway, let's hope #6 does not continue because that will obviously result in pure bloodshed. I watched with keen interest the videoclip you have posted and it is shocking - for the life of me I cannot understand why the police are using live ammunitions. And then to even kick the person - this does not bode well for peace initiatives. I wonder how effectice Kofi and the likes can really be if the two main protagonists cannot resolve their issues. I think it is already too late to do another election, for if the result have to change - mutatis mutandis. I trust you are safe from where you write.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-91938164475754158742008-01-21T20:10:00.000+03:002008-01-21T20:10:00.000+03:00sorry for the double post...my machine frozesorry for the double post...my machine frozeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-53854818297440635942008-01-21T20:09:00.001+03:002008-01-21T20:09:00.001+03:00i think you should have listed the rumours in the ...i think you should have listed the rumours in the reverse order. that way instead of signing off with the really depressing news about another round of street protests, you could have cheered yourself with lucy's latest happy slapping episode- if you can ignore why it happened that is. maybe it wouldn't you but your account of it made me laugh.

i think there is something positive in rumour #1. the only reason lucy slaps people like imanyara is coz she knows they're idiots with no self worth, despite their education. he'll still hang around waiting for 'bendera'. can't wait for her to slap kalonzo!

#2. couldn't care less if annan showed up or not. he dithered while dafur happened under his watch. then there is the 'first resolution, second resolution' nonsense. depressing

#3 uplifting. we need punitive action to help persuade our leaders to sort out our flawed system and weak institutions so we can prevent this happening all over again. and i think raila will sue him. i remember when growing up, during the moi days, when things were hopeless, he had the cajones to take saitoti to court over 'goldenberg'

#4 depressing. though i doubt the poor will get anywhere near karen from the east at the mo. won't happen. what a silly thing to say tho'- if he did say it!

#5. depressing. he's another unprincipled opportunistic politician. the whole western province is pro-odm at the mo. so the guy is just hedging his bets so incase things take a different cause he'll be well positioned. won't resign if nothing changes. that's our politics

#6. depressing.nothing more to say

so imo you're right apart from the lucy bit. i worry alot about kenya from here so it must be tough for you guyz back home. but we're praying for you all and hoping for a miracle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-51840421197824439212008-01-21T20:09:00.000+03:002008-01-21T20:09:00.000+03:00i think you should have listed the rumours in the ...i think you should have listed the rumours in the reverse order. that way instead of signing off with the really depressing news about another round of street protests, you could have cheered yourself with lucy's latest happy slapping episode- if you can ignore why it happened that is. maybe it wouldn't you but your account of it made me laugh.

i think there is something positive in rumour #1. the only reason lucy slaps people like imanyara is coz she knows they're idiots with no self worth, despite their education. he'll still hang around waiting for 'bendera'. can't wait for her to slap kalonzo!

#2. couldn't care less if annan showed up or not. he dithered while dafur happened under his watch. then there is the 'first resolution, second resolution' nonsense.

#6. depressing.nothing more to say

so imo you're right apart from the lucy bit. i worry alot about kenya from here so it must be tough for you guyz back home. but we're praying for you all and hoping for a miracle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2493944969345203860.post-34986522394588054682008-01-21T18:31:00.000+03:002008-01-21T18:31:00.000+03:00i love the rumors, quite creative, but anyway,in the...i love the rumors, quite creative, but anyway,in the absence of live media, reports get distorted through every phase they travel.
