It's so sad many Kenyans including myself are so cynical.I don't trust most politicians in Kenya. They think that they are above the law so as far as I am concerned nothing can rein them in.

I think for now we should all get our gladrags on and celebrate - even if it is just for this one small step.

Congratulations Miss Chick! If this agreement really means peace and reconciliation I will be tempted to fly to Kenya and pinch both your cheeks!

Goodness Mr Bananas, I do hope this deal is most definitely all for peace and reconciliation as I could think of nothing I'd like more than your hairy self flying my way to pinch whatever you like!

i'm a cynic by nature(maybe it's a kenyan thing), but this once, i am giving kibaki the benefit of the doubt. coz if that egalitarian and pain and suffering talk i just heard from him is his usual bluff then we might as well abandon all hope. i am willing to convince myself that he's not that evil and that this time, he (and the MKM) will not renege. ofcourse my head tells me they'll inject some mischief along the way, that there are still twists and turns.

but i'll go with my heart on this. so from a kenyan who's chosen to abandon his cynicism (it's not just politicians making concessions), here's to a new kenya and to hoping that we're going to do justice to the land and its people from here henceforth.

i must confess it's good news and it made me feel gooooooood
