Finally I have some good news for you all - besides of course the red cross pile getting so high which is awesome! . . .
Raila and his ODM party has called off the mass demonstration that had been scheduled for tomorrow.
They have finally agreed to start negotiations.
Woo Hoo! It's so exciting that finally we can move forward. It may only be one small step but I do know where they got that 'One Giant Leap' saying from now!
And what's even more exciting is I got stuck in a traffic jam! Usually we complain like hell about the traffic here but today it was somehow comforting crawling along behind all those other cars. It made things feel almost normal for a while.
Can't wait for tomorrow at last to see if finally we really do have progress!

thank you for your blog and insight. as a kenyan living in a mzungu world i know what you mean by sticking out like a sore thumb... but don't be dettered sometimes the only person who cares is yourself.
your love and compassion for kenya is commendable and touching.. we here stateside keep kenya in our heart and thoughts... and above all kudos on being a single mom and remaining sane (a task I had strggled with for 5 years!)
